About Me
Hello and welcome! I am Sarah Thomas, the owner of Chestnut Tree Learning, LLC, located near downtown Everson. I am a Washington State Certified Teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (K–8) and a Master’s Degree in Learning & Technology. As a Certified Dyscalculia Specialist (K-5), my tutoring is focused on students who require extra support with math or have been diagnosed with dyscalculia.
My teaching is rooted in a multi-sensory approach. This evidence-based method is particularly effective in reading and math, making abstract concepts more accessible and helping students transfer their learning into long-term memory.
I offer compassionate, research-based instruction designed to support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is to help students build knowledge, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

At Chestnut Tree Learning, students receive individualized support in a warm and engaging classroom environment, where instruction is tailored to their unique needs and strengths. I believe every student can succeed when given the right tools, encouragement, and support. I strive to create a nurturing space where students can grow and thrive.

Students and parents are invited to visit Chestnut Tree Learning for a free consultation. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the learning space, learn more about the tutoring services offered, and discuss how individualized support can benefit your child. A consultation also provides students with an opportunity to become comfortable in the environment before starting sessions, ensuring a smooth and confident beginning.
